Annual Events
Ice Cream Social
Fall Book Fair: Usually held during two school days and again at open houses so that kids can purchase books through Scholastic. Our school receives a percentage of the sales.
Halloween Party:
The event is usually the Friday
night before Halloween and we gather at the Hope Valley Fire
Station and have a costume parade up to the school for
a Halloween party.In order for this event to be
successful, lots of volunteers are needed.

Holiday Bazaar:
The children with their teacher and class are allowed to shop for gifts for their families. Each gift is tagged and wrapped for the child to bring home with them. Volunteers are needed to help the children locate and wrap gifts. Contact Catherine Giusti
HOPE Program:
This is where the children are given
a list/signup sheet and for a fee they are able to attend an after school
program for 6 weeks. (ie: basketball, Karate, crafts, yoga, etc.) Volunteers are needed to help sign
out students at the end of the classes. We need a chair for this program
Box Tops: This program is where we
collect and send in box tops as our school earns cash for each one collected.
Volunteers are needed to help collect and count box tops.PTO Contact Erin Anderson
Boy's Choice Event:This event changes annually and the boys have a fun night out with Mom. PTO Contact Tammy Ure
Girl's Choice Event: This event has been a themed dance for the girls and their dad’s with photo options available. (This event needs volunteers to help set up and clean up after event.) PTO Contact Dawn Romans
Teacher Appreciation:During teacher appreciation week (May) we like to show our teachers our appreciation with a small gift for each of them (craft item or baked good) and a luncheon.
Yearbook: Orders are taken at the end of the year and yearbooks may be purchased
4thGrade Send Off: This event usually consists of a free day during school hours for the 4th graders (music, food, games) in June. Fourthgrade parent volunteers are needed to help organize the event as well as helping out that day.
Family Picnic: End of the year themed gathering at the school for a party and picnic. (This event needs volunteers to help set up/cook/clean up.)
On Going Events During the Year:
Cultural Arts: Consists of all the extra events we have during the school hours. (storytellers, laser show, etc) PTO Contact Amy Williams
Movie Nights:The children come with their family in pajamas with sleeping bags,pillows, chairs, etc. and enjoy a movie on a large screen. Refreshments will be sold. PTO Contact Amy Williams
School Store:The PTO purchases items (pencils,stickers, erasers, notebooks)to be sold during lunch periods,two times a month to students. Items are priced between $.10-$1.00. This program needs volunteers to help run the store when open.
